Foxmomo ("we," "us," or "our") operates Foxmomo Music, a cross-platform music player and client application (the "App"). Foxmomo Music connects to music sources that you configure — such as self-hosted servers (e.g. Navidrome, Jellyfin, Subsonic), cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox), and local folders — and plays audio from those sources. Foxmomo does not host, store, transmit, or distribute any music or audio content.

This Privacy Policy explains how the App and the foxmomo.com website (together, the "Service") handle information. By installing or using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Foxmomo is built privacy-first. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, including but not limited to:

Your name, email address, phone number, or account credentials
A Foxmomo account is not required to use the App — there is no sign-up and no login to Foxmomo
Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or IP addresses
Geolocation or precise location data
Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties, because we do not collect any

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores data only on your local device to provide its features. This data is never transmitted to Foxmomo and remains under your sole control. Locally stored data may include:

Playlists, favorites, and playback history
Downloaded songs for offline playback
Cached album artwork, lyrics, and metadata
DSP (audio effects) settings and equalizer presets
Local user profiles you create
Connection settings and credentials for your own third-party music servers

You may delete any or all of this data at any time through the App or by uninstalling it.

4. Website Cookies

The foxmomo.com website uses only strictly necessary cookies required to function, such as a cookie to remember your selected language (i18n_redirected). We do not use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Third-Party Music Servers and Services

Foxmomo Music lets you connect to music sources that you choose and configure yourself. These may include:

Self-hosted servers such as Navidrome, Jellyfin, Subsonic, Plex, Emby, Koel, or WebDAV/SMB shares
Cloud storage such as Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox
Local folders on your device

When you connect to these services, any data exchanged (such as login credentials or playback events) flows directly between your device and that provider. Foxmomo does not see, control, or receive that data. The privacy practices of those services are governed by their own privacy policies, which you should review separately. Foxmomo is not responsible for how third-party providers handle your data.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children. In accordance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the App is not intended for children under 13. Under the GDPR, the Service is not intended for individuals under 16 (or the age of digital consent in their Member State). If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Because Foxmomo does not collect personal data, most privacy-rights requests are informational. However, we respect applicable privacy laws and honor your rights.

GDPR (European Economic Area, United Kingdom): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. As we collect no personal data, there is generally nothing to access or delete on our side; your data resides on your device and your chosen servers.

CCPA / CPRA (California, USA): California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Foxmomo does not sell or share personal information and collects no personal information subject to these rights.

Other jurisdictions: Foxmomo's no-collection stance similarly applies under Canada's PIPEDA, Brazil's LGPD, China's PIPL, Japan's APPI, and other equivalent national privacy laws.

8. International Data Transfers

Since Foxmomo does not collect or transmit your personal data, Foxmomo does not transfer personal data internationally. Any transfer of music or credentials occurs directly between your device and the third-party music server you configured, and is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy.

9. Data Retention

Data stored locally by the App (see Section 3) is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Foxmomo retains no user data on its own servers.

10. Security

The App does not transmit personal data to Foxmomo, which minimizes exposure. Security of data stored on your device — including credentials you enter for third-party servers — is your responsibility; please use device-level protections (screen lock, encryption) as appropriate.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page, and material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
